The Future of YDN: YDN 2.0

Hey all, Kyle here,

I hope everyone is doing well and is managing to stay healthy and positive during these trying times. I know it’s been a while since anything has been posted here, and I’m not even sure who all will read this. But, nevertheless, here we are!

Even though YDN hasn’t been active for a while, that doesn’t mean I’ve stopped thinking about it. Honestly and truly I got burned out on the project simply because I had a hard time letting others be in charge of tasks. I ended up taking on a bigger work load than was reasonable for one person, and tried to accelerate from 0 to 60 in a short period of time. Which brings me to this post here.

Over the coming weeks, we will be starting the soft launch of new content coming to YDN. And when I say ‘we,’ that leads me to my first big announcement! Finally admitting to myself that I need help with YDN, I’m proud to announce my best friend of all time, Dylan Graves, will be joining me as my partner on this project! There’s no one I trust more than Dylan so having him involved with YDN was a no brainer. Look out for a post soon from him introducing himself.

Now what can you expect from what I’m referring to as YDN 2.0? While I can’t promise a steady stream of content, Dylan and I will be creating a variety of different things that fall within our interests and make us nerd out (see what I did there?). Sometimes we’ll post videos, sometimes articles, I’ll post when I’ll be streaming, maybe even a podcast.

We have ideas for the content we want to explore, as well as some things we’ve started to put in motion. For example, I recently finished reading JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Stone Ocean and Steel Ball Run, and plan on writing my thoughts on both of them, and possibly a JoJo related video or two.

Dylan and I are really excited about the future with YDN 2.0 and hope you come along with us for the ride. I think I speak for both of us when I say we really need some joy and positivity during these times. To stay in the loop as to when new things go live on the site, follow us on Twitter @YDNerd.

Hope to talk to you again soon!
